New Playground Alert: Old School Park in McCordsville

There’s a new playground on the northeast side of Indianapolis! Old School Park in McCordsville has undergone renovations, so as of September 2025, it’s brand new and open for the public to enjoy.

The park has some new features, so there is something for everyone. Renovations to this three-acre park include:

  • A new playground designed for children ages 2-5
  • A new playground designed for ages 5-12
  • A picnic shelter
  • Bathrooms
  • Two updated basketball courts

Old School Park Playground

Both of the playgrounds at Old School Park have accessible features. There are also lots of slides and places for kids to climb, including a rope geometric dome. There are also swings, including swings with harnesses, as well as a merry-go-round and lots of room to run and play. The ground of the play area is made of compressed rubber instead of mulch.
