New and Improved: Franklin Township Community Park

The south east side of Indianapolis has a new and improved park and playground! The newly renovated Franklin Township Community Park has received a $2.8-million makeover, and includes a new playground, pickleball and basketball courts, paved trails, and other site improvements.

One of Franklin Township’s Largest Parks

At 99 acres, Franklin Township Community Park is the second-largest park in Franklin Township. It also features multiple soccer, baseball, softball, and football fields located in the southern portion of the park, adjacent to Franklin Central High School.

A Playground for All Ages

The playground at Franklin Township Community Park features an all-new playground with lots of modern features:

  • playground structures for young and older kids
  • slides
  • netting tunnels
  • a rope climbing tower
  • parkour equiptment
  • an Innova rocker
  • musical instruments
  • swings
  • and lots more
