Little Foodies: Kura Revolving Sushi Bar

My children love sushi. They also love robots and anything “gamified.” So once my little foodies heard that Kura Revolving Sushi Bar was coming to Fishers, Indiana, we were excited. A robot that brings you your drinks! Dozens of sushi options gliding by your table! Getting a prize for eating sushi! We were all in.

Conveyer Belt Sushi Bar in Central Indiana

Once we were seated, a server asked if it was our first time visiting. If it’s your first time, they will explain the procedure to you. You can grab the plates off of the conveyer belt — make sure to pinch the plate and pull straight out — or you can order from the menu and have it delivered. We did both, but my children enjoyed just plucking dishes from the conveyer belt as they presented themselves in front of us. We got so many plates.

At each table, there’s a little depository for your empty plates. You just put them into a chute, and the chute whisks them away. If you deposit 15 plates, you get a prize! My kids heard “prize” and “15 plates,” and wanted to order and eat lots of plates. Which was OK with me, actually. My children are sometimes picky eaters, so to see them devour sushi and edamame and pickled watermelon just to get a prize made me very happy.

Drinks are ordered on a touch screen, and served via a robot. It was super fun to see our robot headed our way with our beverages. The robot even greets you and says goodbye!
