There are two new family-friendly restaurants on the north side of Indianapolis! Culinary Dropout and Flower Child, both owned by Arizona-based Fox Restaurant Concepts, are located in the Nora Plaza shopping center, just steps from each other. Both offer great food for adults and kids alike, with a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
Flower Child
Flower Child offers bowls, salads, entrees and wraps, and almost all of their food is vegetarian, vegan-friendly or gluten-free. Diners can also find lemonades, kombuchas, sangria, gluten-free beer and tasty gluten-free desserts, like olive oil cupcakes, cookies and brownies.
The Food
You’ll find fresh and health-minded dishes like a Glow Bowl with sweet potato noodles, avocado Caesar salad, cauliflower risotto, and lots of other vegetable-forward dishes.
The Healthy Kids menu, for children 12 years and younger, is your choice of a protein (chicken, tofu or steak), plus two sides, such as gluten-free mac and cheese, smashed potatoes, fruit, broccoli with parmesan and many others.
The Atmosphere
Flower Child is dog friendly! You can sit with your pup on the patio, which is covered and heated during the colder months. Kids can help themselves to coloring pages and crayons!

The restaurant offers a wide variety of American food, such as burgers, fried chicken drizzled with honey, and pretzel bites with cheese fondue.
The Atmosphere
Culinary Dropout also has an open-air patio that is covered and heated during the winter. There is live music most evenings, and children are greeted at the table with an Etch-A-Sketch to pass the time!
