Q&A with Line+Form Art Center:
What makes Line+Form Art Center unique?
Summer Art Camps at Line+Form go beyond step-by-step projects, giving artists the creative freedom to explore, experiment, and truly express themselves. Expect exciting materials, creative discoveries, new friendships, and all the messy, magical moments that make summer unforgettable.
What activities are offered?
Each themed camp week invites artists to explore painting, sculpture, printmaking, sensory play, and much more—through playful, hands-on experiences that celebrate curiosity, creativity, and honor the process over the product.
What is the camper-to-counselor ratio?
We intentionally limit our camp size to a 15:2 counselor-to-camper ratio. This small-group approach supports a gentle, relationship-centered environment where artists can move at their own pace, feel regulated, and fully engage in the creative process.
How much time do campers spend outside at Line+Form Art Center?
As much as possible! Our new campus includes an art park, public green space, access to Bean Creek, Garfield Park, The Garfield Park Conservatory and Sunken Gardens, and more! Outside time is essential to our art camps.
Does the camp provide lunch/snacks, or do parents need to provide them?
As much as possible! Our new campus is surrounded by inspiring outdoor spaces, including our art park, public green space, access to Bean Creek, Garfield Park, the Garfield Park Conservatory, and the Sunken Gardens. Time outdoors is an essential part of our camps, supporting creativity, regulation, and connection to the natural world. Lunch and snack details were not included in the submission.

How old are the counselors, and how are they trained?
Our counselors range in age but are all trained in either art education, art therapy, mental health counseling, or early childhood education. We also have camp assistants that are in high school, and previously Line+Form campers themselves!

What accommodations are made for campers with special needs?
Our building is fully ADA compliant, and we are committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming environment for all artists. We are always happy to work with families to better understand a child’s individual needs and will do our best to provide appropriate accommodations so every camper can feel safe, supported, and successful.
