The pools are about to close, but that doesn’t mean you have to pack up the goggles and swim towels quite yet – or at all.
The perpetual swim lesson model at Goldfish Swim School will have your child learning new swim skills year round.
Our kids have taken lessons every summer for quite some time, but it wasn’t at a location using the perpetual model. This is the first year they have done Goldfish Swim School lessons and the progress made in just a few short months has been astonishing. It really works.
They have lessons for children ranging from the ages of 4 months to 12 years. Mini 1 and Mini 2 classes require adult participation, but the rest of the classes do not. With the water set to 90 degrees, children and adults a like are sure to stay nice and warm. No blue lips or shivering bodies here.
At Goldfish Swim School, skills are evaluated at every lesson and as soon as the skills are mastered, the child graduates to the next level. This ensures your child is always learning at the proper level and not being taught skills they no longer need to be taught.
At the end of each lesson, parents watch their child work one-on-one with the instructor as they demonstrate what was learned that day. The parent is then told what the child needs to continue to work on in order to move up to the next level.
You are informed. Your child is informed. Goals are set and when they are met they are awarded with a ribbon, words of encouragement and a feeling of personal achievement and accomplishment as the child moves up to the next level.
In addition to the cost of the monthly lessons, Goldfish Swim School has an annual membership fee of 25$ for the first child and $20 for the second with a maximum of $45 per family. Some membership perks include: Goldfish membership t-shirt, reusable swim bag, designated free Family Swim times, monthly celebrations for the entire family to enjoy and discounts for multiple children and extra weekly lessons.
Classes are small and your child will receive the attention necessary to achieve results. As parents, we know water safety and learning to swim are of the utmost importance. My husband and I are thrilled with the progress we have seen our children make in a short time.
Whenever we go to the pool now, my daughter can’t wait to practice her butterfly stroke. A few months ago I never would have believed I would be typing that sentence. In fact, I am pretty sure she can now swim better than both my husband and I are able to.
