It’s Only a Date

This month I asked some other dads to contribute their own stories, give advice or just share whatever was on their mind.

Enjoy,

Pete

———-

As a divorced Dad I don’t get to see my son on a daily basis. This makes things tough around the Holidays as the date of the Holiday may not match the date of visitation. What this has led me to teach my son is this, It’s just a date. The date doesn’t define us anymore. If we can do Thanksgiving on a Satuday then that’s what we do. This has taught him that its more about the family and the time together than a specific number on a calendar. When he was younger the Santa explanations had to be creative for sure, but now he understands its more about being together than anything else.
