If you have any sports fans in your family, chances are you’ll love the Indy Card Exchange on Indy’s northeast side. It is a hidden gem of a shop for all sports lovers, but my family thinks it is extra special because it has a free Kids Club for children ages 13 and under.
A Hobby for the Whole Family
When recently attempting to clean and organize our home, my husband found piles of binders filled with sports cards from his childhood. This discovery reignited his passion for trading cards and led us to the Indy Card Exchange. It’s been really fun for him to share this “new” hobby with our toddler and preschooler who are growing to love anything and everything sports-related just like their dad.

Not Just the Major Leagues
The cards at the Exchange are not limited to the most popular sports like baseball, basketball and football. They also carry non-sports cards for exchangers to trade such as Star Wars, Marvel, Pokemon and more. My favorite card that we saw when visiting recently was an Olympic trading card for Simone Biles from the USA Gymnastics team. I personally think she’s the greatest athlete of all time so it was fun to see her on display. Also on display (and for sale) is an impressive variety of autographed sports merchandise for anyone who likes to collect signed memorabilia.
Indy Card Exchange Free Kids Club
The Kids Club aims to educate children on card trading while helping them learn how to collect safely and responsibly. Members receive the following perks:
- A free gift every month
- An extra birthday month gift
- Report card rewards 2x per year (A’s and B’s get a special reward)
- An annual Kids Club event
Gifts must be picked up in person, and my five-year-old always looks forward to his monthly visit to the Card Exchange with his dad and little brother. Families can register children for the Kids Club here. Happy trading!

Indy Card Exchange is located at 7035 E 96th St, Suite P, in Indianapolis. Their business hours are from 11 am to 6 pm, Tuesday through Friday, and 11 am till 5 pm on Saturdays.
