It’s summertime, which means there are many ways to beat the heat and have fun at Indy Parks.

Swim Lessons + Swim Teams

New Parks for 2024
This summer has seen many new amenities at Indy Parks.
- In May, the Frederick Douglass Park Family Center and Playground opened. The center is now the largest in the Indy Parks system, and the playground ranks as one of the largest in the city.
- Indy Parks is investing in playgrounds across the city. With funding from the American Rescue Plan and the Lilly Endowment Grant, one in four Indy Parks will receive a new playground with new equipment and safer surfaces. Playgrounds including Sexton, Ross Claypool, Municipal Gardens, Clayton & LaSalle, Gateway West have been completed, with more on the way!
- Thanks to the Indiana Pacers and All-Star Pacers player Tyrese Haliburton, Indy Parks opened a new basketball court at Fall Creek & 30th Park, with Pacers-style paint done by local artists. This is the first of five court renovations planned with the Pacers that will provide more high-quality outdoor basketball courts to residents.
Summer is an exciting time at Indy Parks, from pools and splash pads to new playgrounds and basketball courts. Visit parks.indy.gov to find fun near you!
