Fun and Fitness for Dads

Dads, we know you’re busy. And after a long day, the thought of logging miles on a treadmill or doing a hundred crunches is just about the last thing you want to do. You know exercise is important though, so how can you make it seem less like drudgery and more like something you actually look forward to? The key is to have fun while you’re doing it! Our area has so many different kinds of teams, clubs and classes for physical fitness, there’s bound to be an activity that suits your interest. Here’s a few ideas to get you started.

Hamilton County Sports Complex

Hit the court with adult four on four basketball leagues on Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. The leagues are played in an “organized pick-up style format” with each league consisting of up to eight teams playing a Round Robin seven week schedule followed by a seeded three week playoff to crown a league champion. “Free agents” can join another team’s roster by filling out the Adult Basketball Individual registration form.

Best Choice Fieldhouse

No matter what your age or skill level, Best Choice Fieldhouse can find you a league to compete in and keep in shape. Adult leagues feature A, B and C Divisions or a new league can be started for you and your group.

Hamilton County Parks and Recreation Department Softball Leagues

Both coed and men’s divisions are available, and participants have the option of participating in leagues of varying levels of competitiveness depending upon how they most enjoy playing. Games take place at Morse Park in Noblesville.

Fishers Parks & Recreation Adult Softball Leagues

With three levels of play to choose from, anyone can enjoy the physical activity and friendly competition of softball. Free agents are encouraged to contact Fishers Parks & Recreation to be matched with a team. Residency is based on the city of the team captain.
