Have you ever wanted to try canoeing or kayaking with your family? Now is your chance to try it for free! The White River Alliance and White River Canoe Company are offering six Free Paddle Days on July 25 and 30, and August 8, 13, 22 and 27. Two of the paddle days, August 13 and 27, are in conjunction with river clean-ups.

“We’re excited to continue Free Paddle Days on the White River,” says Jill Hoffmann, executive director of White River Alliance. “Last year was such a success that we want to continue to foster a safe environment for connection and fun along the river. Our goal with Free Paddle Days is to showcase the White River as a recreational and wellness asset, while also introducing Hoosiers to ways that they can get involved in its protection through our organization.”
Register for Free Paddle Days
Free Paddle Days will kick off on Sunday, July 25 at the White River Canoe Company. Registration for Free Paddle Days will occur in two waves. One group of reservations was released on July 6 to help mark the installation of White River Art Canoes, while a second opportunity is opening on July 19. A $15 deposit fee will be required with registration to help ensure that the reservations are well used; however, the deposit will be refunded upon arrival for paddling.

River Clean-Up Days
In conjunction with Free Paddle Days, there will be two River Clean-Up days. On Aug. 13, clean-up efforts will take place on the river from Conner Prairie to 116 St. in partnership with the Cities of Carmel and Fishers. On Aug. 27, clean-up activities will occur from Claire Dam to the White River Canoe Company in partnership with the City of Noblesville. The Conner Prairie event will offer a variety of trip lengths, including a short paddle for young families, as well as live music, concessions and free entry to Conner Prairie for the day.
