Free Admissions on Thursdays

The Indiana Historical Society is FREE on Thursdays, now through July 27, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Free admission tickets can be reserved online or get them at the door.

While at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center, make sure to visit the newest exhibit, “Chuck Taylor All Star.” It explores the story of the man, Charles Hollis Taylor — better known as “Chuck” Taylor — and his iconic Converse All Star shoe through a variety of immersive experiences and remarkable artifacts and images, some of which have never been exhibited before.

Amazed teen boy wearing virtual reality goggles watching movies or playing video games, on black. Surprised teenager looking in VR glasses. Child experiencing 3D gadget technology.

The exhibit includes a state-of-the-art virtual reality experience that will allow visitors to travel back in time to a 1950s Chuck Taylor basketball clinic in a Hoosier gymnasium. Visitors will also get to meet Chuck, learn how to shoot and pass, and handle historic artifacts in a way you would never be able to in real life. Reserve your tickets HERE
