Ford Hoosier Outdoor Experience teams with Indy’s Child Magazine for Family Fun Zone

NEWS RELEASE
June 22, 2015 {Indianapolis, IN} –  The family fun zone at the 2015 Ford Hoosier Outdoor Experience will brandish a new name this fall: The Indy’s Child Family Fun Zone.
Hosted at Fort Harrison State Park, the two-day Ford Hoosier Outdoor Experience features about 50 activities and more than 60 partners. It is organized by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and the Indiana Natural Resources Foundation. The goal is to introduce participants to outdoor activities that they may have never tried before. Activities range from fishing to archery to mountain biking and more.
“Our staffers and readers have participated as visitors at the Ford Hoosier Outdoor Experience for years and raved about it,” said Indy’s Child Magazine publisher Mary Cox. “So we are thrilled to take a larger role in not only this outstanding, family-friendly event but also in helping drive even more families out to experience it.”
The family fun zone was sponsored by Radio Disney in previous years. Radio Disney left the Indianapolis market in December.
The 2015 Indy’s Child Family Fun Zone will include a touch-a-truck area, a family obstacle course and more. It is geared toward children ages 12 and younger.
“Partnerships like this are what make this program flourish,” said Indiana Natural Resources Foundation executive director Bourke Patton.
The Ford Hoosier Outdoor Experience takes place Sept. 19-20. The Indy’s Child Family Fun Zone will appear only on Saturday, Sept. 19. More details and information are available atHoosierOutdoorExperience.IN.gov.
