Flower-Filled Weekend at the IMA, rain or shine

WHAT: Spring over to the IMA this weekend to experience hundreds of flowers inside and out.

Be first in line to purchase beautiful rare plants at Perennial Premiere, at Newfield Lawn and Lot on the IMA campus, located near the main parking lot. Enjoy this annual kick off to spring all weekend long, with a great selection of plants for sale, vendors and food trucks. IMA’s horticulture staff will be available all weekend to answer specific plant care and gardening questions.

Escape the rain inside the museum at the Indianapolis Garden Club Flower Show, located in the Deer Zink Special Events Pavilion. This year’s collection is inspired by the IMA gardens and the outdoor spring exhibition, Spring Blooms: Celebration of Color. Don’t miss your chance to browse through hundreds of flowers all tied to the theme of Through the Looking Glass.

Once inside the museum explore Audubon: Drawn to Nature, an exhibition featuring the lifelike drawings by John James Audubon. Bring the whole family to discover and learn more about birds from different regional areas. Guests can expand their Audubon experience with observation guide books and compare their wingspan to that of popular species. The adventure continues outdoors with selfie stations of replica birds perched on benches, a lifelike nest in Alice’s Garden and bird viewing stations.
