Candy Emporium and the Nashville Fudge Kitchen

If you can’t savor the flavors of Brown County in person, you might as well be doing it at home! Treat the kids to their favorite sweets. Yes, we know this one may be a double-edged sword as the sugar-high is real. But…the fond Brown County memories that a delicious bite of chocolate brings back will be oh-so worth it. Your kids will think so too! Plus, you can never have enough snacks when you’re stuck at home. Visit the Candy Emporium’s website for homemade truffles and candy of all kinds. Check out the Nashville Fudge Kitchen’s online store for flavored gourmet popcorn, candy, taffy, and of course, fudge! It’s a great way to get a taste of Nashville without having to leave home!

Tea for kids? Yes, indeed! Order some scrumptious loose-leaf tea from Sweetea’s for an at-home Brown County tea party. With several yummy kinds to choose from, the kids are sure to find a tea that tickles their taste buds. Sweetea’s also has tea latte kits in flavors like blueberry or cinnamon roll that are guaranteed to be a hit…and will leave you wanting an invite to the party!

Brown County State Park

We know it’s not the same thing as letting the kiddos run off that energy in person, but the family can still enjoy the Brown County State Park virtually! Tune in to the State Park’s Facebook page every Tuesday at 2 p.m. for #TrailTuesdays. Not only will a naturalist take the kids on a virtual stroll through the woods, but they’ll also learn all about the featured trail. Almost as good as a real hike…with some cool facts along the way! Tune in on Fridays at 1 p.m. for virtual programs from the Nature Center. Each Friday will cover a different topic such as wildflowers, water, and hidden historic villages.

Brown County Visitors Center Coloring Book

A neat way to experience the sights of Brown County without actually visiting is our cool coloring book! Each page has a different Brown County scene and is perfect for bringing the destination to you. It is technically an adult coloring book, so it may not be the best for super young kids. But with a little precision and detail, your older ones will be able to conquer it. Heck, you may even want to join in the fun! You can find it on our online store.
