Fairs, Festivals and Fireworks

From old-fashioned street fairs to full-blown festivals, there are so many fun events to choose from this summer in Hamilton County!

Fishers Freedom Festival

The Fishers Freedom Festival offers multiple activities, events and food for all ages, including arts & crafts, food & business vendors, live music, 5K event, children’s tent, parades, street dance, fireworks and much more.

Lights Over Morse Lake

Date: Thursday, July 2 through Saturday, July 4

Location: Community Park, Morse Lake and various locations, Cicero

Cost: Free

Lights Over Morse Lake is a three day festival that has something for the whole family, including a petting zoo, live music, kids carnival, a zip line and much more!

CarmelFest 2015

Date: Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4

Time: 4-10:30 p.m., Friday; noon-10:30 p.m., Saturday

Location: Carmel Civic Square

Cost: Free admission

CarmelFest has something for everyone, including a talent competition, a
KidZone with rides and games, water boats, a Chill-out zone, a performance by the Carmel Symphony Orchestra, a Freedom Run, 4th of July Parade and, of course, Fireworks! Click link above for complete schedule of events.

Glorious Fourth at Conner Prairie

Date: Saturday, July 4

Time: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Location: Conner Prairie, Fishers

Cost: $15/adult, $14/senior, $10/youth (ages 2-12); free for members and youth under 2

Westfield Rocks the 4th

Date: Saturday, July 4

Time: 4 p.m.-10:30 p.m.

Location: Asa Bales Park, Westfield

Cost: Free

Westfield Rocks the 4th is the City of Westfield’s Largest event. A celebration of America’s Independence Day, WR4 is a free festival with something for people of all ages. This festival features entertainment, food, and fun activities for the entire family to enjoy.

Noblesville Fourth of July Festival

Date: Saturday, July 4

Time: 5-10 p.m.

Location: Grounds of Noblesville High School

Cost: Free

This free festival kicks off with a patriotic parade, followed by an evening of games and activities. Food vendors will be on hand. Attendees can also pack a picnic dinner. The evening culminates in a fireworks display beginning at 10 p.m.

Sheridan BlueGrass Fever

Date: Friday, July 10 and Saturday, July 11

The BlueGrass festival is fun for the whole family, bringing the spirit of bluegrass to life while offering room for kids to run, play and dance, tall shade trees, open space for lawn chairs and cool drinks to lighten the day.

Noblesville Street Dance

Date: Saturday, July 11

Time: 4-11 p.m.

Location: Downtown Courthouse Square, Noblesville

Cost: Free

The annual Street Dance is downtown Noblesville’s biggest event of the year! One of the most popular features of the Street Dance is the Kid’s Zone which will take place from 4:00 pm – 8:30 pm. Free activities in the Kid’s Zone include: carnival games, video game truck, rock climbing wall, Touch-a-Truck, airbrush tattoos, balloon artists, family-friendly vendors, and an ice cream eating contest.

Hamilton County 4-H Fair

Date: Thursday, July 16 through Tuesday, July 21

Location: Hamilton County 4-H Fairgrounds, Noblesville

Cost: Free admission

The Hamilton County 4-H Fair is fun for the whole family, featuring numerous open events for all ages as well as the large variety of 4-H events and shows. Animals, livestock, foods, clothing, crafts, tractors, horticulture, dancing, and the talent show are just a few of the highlights. See website for schedule of events.

Seventh Annual IU Health North Hospital Art of Wine

Date: Saturday, July 18

Time: 5-10 p.m.

Location: Carmel, Indiana in the Carmel Arts & Design

Cost: Free admission to the District; $15 for adults 21 and over who wish to sample wines

Guests of all ages can enjoy the unique stores, galleries, and music for free, as there is no cost to enter the District. For adults who wish to sample wines, photo ID is required. Entertainment and art can be found throughout the festival, including a caricature artist, and music. In addition to participating Indiana wineries, wine specialty retailers will offer tastings of wines from across the country.

Art Fair on the Square

Date: Saturday, August 1

Time: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Location: Noblesville Square

Cost: Free admission

View the works of local, accomplished artists with the opportunity to purchase one of these wonderful works of art! Admission is always free. Donations are always welcome.

GreekFest 2015

Date: Friday, August 28 through Sunday, August 30

Time: Friday 4-10 p.m.; Saturday 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m.- 4 p.m.

Location: Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Carmel

Cost: Free admission

The Indianapolis Greek Festival is an annual family-oriented, festival celebrating the Orthodox faith and Hellenic culture with the community.
