Best Strawberry Festivals in Central Indiana 2026

Strawberry season hits Central Indiana in May and June, and so do the festivals. Small-town celebrations, downtown street fairs and farm events fill the calendar, all built around the same thing: shortcake, ice cream and fresh berries. We’ve organized every strawberry festival by date with the details you need to plan a weekend, and you can find more ideas in our guide to summer activities in Indianapolis.

Strawberries on the Square

  • Date & Time: Friday, May 22 | 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Location: Johnson County Courthouse, 5 E. Jefferson St., Franklin, IN
  • Admission: Free

Strawberry shortcake on the courthouse lawn, food trucks, live music and free face painting and balloon art from noon to 3 p.m. Nine food vendors are expected on site. A solid Friday afternoon downtown if you live in or near Johnson County.

Rosedale Strawberry Festival

  • Date & Time: Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 7 | Friday 5 to 10 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Location: Main Street and the Civic Center, Rosedale, IN
  • Admission: Free, free parking

A three-day small-town festival in Parke County, about 75 miles west of Indianapolis. Known for home-baked shortcakes, the event also has live music daily, a KidZone, kids’ pageants, a Saturday parade, a Sunday pet parade, a classic car show, a tractor show and an adult hobby show. A drive, but worth it if you’re up for a road trip.

Tuttle Orchards Strawberry Festival

  • Date & Time: Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6 | 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Location: Tuttle Orchards, 5717 N. 300 W., Greenfield, IN
  • Admission: FarmYard $8 per person, ages 2 and up. Farm Store and Cafe free to enter.

Strawberry-themed treats from the cafe and farm store, and the FarmYard play area is open with the giant slide, trike tracks, grain bin basketball, sand diggers and bubble area. Good fit for families with younger kids.

Kokomo Strawberry Festival

  • Date & Time: Friday, June 5 | 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Location: Downtown Kokomo, IN
  • Admission: Free

One of the bigger downtown street festivals on this list. Strawberry shortcake comes with locally made shortcake from Tastefully Indiana, strawberries from Moore’s Pie Shop, vanilla ice cream from Scoops and whipped cream. Around 40 food vendors, the Artsapalooza Art Market, live music and a kids’ play zone round out the day. The DORA designated outdoor refreshment area lets adults walk with drinks from participating businesses.

Metamora Strawberry Days

  • Date & Time: Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7
  • Location: Historic Metamora, IN
  • Admission: Free

Historic Metamora’s Strawberry Days brings homemade strawberry shortcake, live music, shopping and dining to the canal town. It’s more of a day trip from Indianapolis, but families can pair the festival with a walk through town or a ride on the Whitewater Valley Railroad.

Tri Kappa Strawberry Shortcake Sale

  • Location: Boone County Courthouse Plaza, Lebanon, IN

An annual shortcake sale by Tri Kappa Alpha Beta Chapter outside the Boone County Courthouse, typically on the first Friday of June. Proceeds support local scholarships and community programs. Pairs well with the Lebanon Lions Club hoagie sale that runs the same day at the same location.

Shelby Senior Services Annual Strawberry Festival

  • Date & Time: Friday, June 5 | 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Location: Downtown Public Square and MHP parking lot, Shelbyville, IN
  • Admission: Strawberry shortcake with ice cream is $8

Walk-up service downtown or a drive-thru option in the MHP parking lot. Cash or Venmo accepted. Proceeds support Shelby Senior Services.

Discover Old Town Greenwood Strawberry Festival & Handmade Market

  • Date & Time: Saturday, June 6 | 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Shortcake from 10 a.m. until it’s gone.
  • Location: Madison Avenue, Old Town Greenwood, IN
  • Admission: Free

Strawberry shortcake plus a 60-vendor handmade market with food trucks and live music. Cash is recommended for the shortcake line. Free parking and a shuttle from Greenwood Park Mall make this an easy one to get to from the south side.

Indy Strawberry Festival

  • Date & Time: Thursday, June 11 | 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or until sold out
  • Location: Monument Circle, Indianapolis, IN
  • Admission: Free to attend. “The Works” is $10. Individual items: strawberries $3, ice cream $3, shortcake $2, whipped topping $2. Cash and credit accepted.

The 60th year of this one. Run by the Cathedral Women of Christ Church Cathedral, with more than 300 volunteers and thousands of homemade shortcakes served from tents on Monument Circle. More than 95% of proceeds go to local, national and international outreach groups.

Brownsburg Farmers Market Strawberry Shortcake Festival

  • Date & Time: Thursday, June 11 | 4 to 7 p.m.
  • Location: Town Hall Green, 61 N. Green St., Brownsburg, IN
  • Admission: Free

Fresh strawberry shortcake from the Brownsburg Kiwanis as part of the regular Thursday farmers market. Live music from Mikey Goode, around 30 to 40 vendors and a Brownsburg Public Library tent with kids’ activities make it an easy weeknight stop if you’re already in Hendricks County.

Crawfordsville Strawberry Festival

  • Date & Time: Friday, June 12 to Sunday, June 14
  • Location: The Lane Place, 212 S. Water St., Crawfordsville, IN
  • Admission: Free

A three-day festival on the historic Lane Place grounds with home-baked shortcake, around 90 arts and crafts booths, live music, classic car and antique tractor shows, a 5K and 1K kids’ run, a cornhole tournament and a children’s area. About an hour west of Indianapolis. Bring a lawn chair for the music.

Greenfield Strawberry Festival at Bradley UMC

  • Date & Time: Saturday, June 13 | 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. or while supplies last
  • Location: Bradley United Methodist Church, 210 W. Main St., Greenfield, IN
  • Admission: Free to attend. Strawberry shortcake is $8.

Bradley UMC hosts Greenfield’s annual strawberry festival with strawberries, ice cream and homemade shortcake at the southwest corner of Pennsylvania and Main streets. Proceeds support several local organizations, including Hancock County Boys & Girls Club, Zoey’s Place Child Advocacy Center, Love INC, Hancock Hope House and The Landing Place.

St. Michael’s Strawberry Festival & HATCH Fest

  • Location: Downtown Noblesville Square, Noblesville, IN

St. Michael’s Episcopal Church serves shortcake on the Hamilton County Courthouse Square in conjunction with Noblesville Creates’ HATCH Fest, which fills the square with artisan vendors, kid entrepreneur booths, robotics demos, art and a Juneteenth celebration. One of the biggest single-day arts and food events in the area.
