Simon Summer Sledding

Join local firefighters as they turn Simon Moon Park’s giant hill into a thrilling slide with a water-soaked tarp. Enjoy tasty Kona Ice treats and socialize with the Westfield Welcome team. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable summer sledding experience during the annual Simon Summer Sledding event.

Simon Summer Sledding Equipment and Attire

Participants must bring their own sled, with the ideal choices of saucer sleds and boogie boards. Pool floats are not suitable. For those without a sled or board, body-sliding is an option. As attendees will get wet, appropriate attire is necessary, and eye protection in the form of goggles or sunglasses is recommended.

Parking and Time Blocks

Park in the East lot at the City Services Building, located at 2728 E. 171st St., just west of Simon Moon Park. The event is divided into time blocks to accommodate limited parking, with 120 cars permitted per block.

Session One: 10-11:30am | Session Two: 11:45am – 1:15pm | Session Three: 1:30-3pm

Tickets go on sale May 1. The event it’s self is free to attend, but there is a $5 cost per car to park. Tickets go on sale May 1.
