PEEPs: Preschool Environmental Education Program

PEEPs, the Preschool Environmental Education Program from Zionsville Parks and Recreation, is a playful, hands-on nature series for preschoolers and their caregivers. Each week includes outdoor adventures, sensory play and discovery-based learning that follow the seasons and explore local wildlife.

Families register for a themed three-week series each month. October’s Not-So-Scary Creatures series at Starkey Nature Park looks at bats, owls, snakes, spiders and other misunderstood animals. November’s Leaves, Seeds, and Trees series at Overley-Worman Park explores colorful leaves, seeds and the trees of the fall forest.

Activities are geared toward ages 3 to 6, and younger siblings are welcome. Adults must stay for the program. Each three-week series costs $21 for residents and $27 for nonresidents.
