Museum My Way at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis gives visitors with disabilities or sensory sensitivities a chance to experience the museum in a new way, with limited capacity, low-light and quiet areas, and tactile and movement activities. Families and groups of all abilities are welcome.
In October, guests can visit the Haunted House with sensory modifications: softened music, lights turned up with no flashing effects and haunters in friendly costumes. Each guest receives a sensory toy and goody bag. Dinosphere, the Dinosphere Art Lab, All Aboard!, National Geographic Treasures of the Earth, Beyond Spaceship Earth, the Schaefer Planetarium and Space Object Theater and Fireworks of Glass are also open, and the Indiana Canine Assistance Network brings in-training service dogs to the Welcome Center.
Tickets are $15 for adults and youth, with a discount for members, and registration is required.
