Footlite Musicals stages Mary Poppins at the Hedback Theatre. Set in England in 1910, the musical follows Jane and Michael Banks, who have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. With a mix of magic and common sense, she takes the children on a series of adventures and teaches the whole Banks family to value each other again.
The show is based on the stories of P.L. Travers and the Walt Disney film, with the Sherman brothers’ original songs and new music by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. There is no performance on Thanksgiving.
Tickets are $17 to $27, with discounted seats at every Thursday performance and the first Sunday performance. Everyone attending needs a ticket, regardless of age.
