The Indiana Christmas Train leaves Pleasant Lake in northeast Indiana for a round trip of about 90 minutes through the winter countryside. Santa visits every train, and live music plays on board. New this season, the Christmas Kitchen car serves holiday treats baked on board during the visit with Santa.
Seating ranges from Deluxe Coach seats and family packages to First Class lounge seats, booths and tables, which come with refreshments, holiday treats and a gift. A Cocktail Class for ages 21 and over runs on Saturday trips only. Children 3 and under ride free in Deluxe Coach if they do not take a seat. Travelin’ Toms Coffee sells hot chocolate at the station before departure, and parking is at 1525 Main St.
The Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society runs the train with volunteers as a fundraiser for rail preservation.
