The Garfield Park Conservatory dresses its tropical plants for Halloween for two nights. From 5:30 to 7 p.m., the less-scary hours have no scarers and welcome little ones in costume. From 7 to 9 p.m., scary music, decorations and ghouls fill the walk-through, recommended for ages 8 and up.
Admission is $6 per person, paid at the door by cash or card, and children 2 and under are free. No registration is needed. The event uses strobe lights and artificial fog.
