Event Details

The Kruse Family Stardust Terrace at the History Center is the place to be on Thursday nights in downtown Indianapolis. The 2023 Concerts on the Canal series features a spectacular lineup of entertainers including The Beatless, Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra, Groove Essential, and Pavel and Direct Contact.

Free Seating & Free Admission to Indiana History Center 

While reserved tables are available for purchase, sit along the canal and enjoy the music for free. Guests can bring their own chair or blanket and sit on the grassy areas along the Central Canal.

Another FREE perk is that the Indiana History Center is free during the summer concert season on Thursdays. The museum is open from 10 am to 6 pm.

Free parking at the History Center is on a first-come basis. Nearby street or garage parking is available for a fee.


Free seating is available on the grassy area on the Canal Walk. Tables for 8 are $90, $70 for members. Tables for 4 are $65, $45 for members.  Event reservations are valid for the date and/or event of issue; no rain checks will be permitted.

July 20 – Pavel and Direct Contact – Latin Jazz, Salsa and Latin-infused Pop Band

July 27 – Deb Mullins – Jazz/Pop/Blues
