The After-School Nature Club at the Zionsville Nature Center gives kids ages 6 to 12 a monthly after-school adventure with outdoor exploration, games and hands-on activities. It is a drop-off program, though parents are welcome to stay nearby.
In October, kids investigate bones and skulls to learn how animals live and what they eat. In November, Junior Naturalists go behind the scenes to help care for the center’s resident animals and learn what it takes to be a naturalist. Each session costs $5 for residents and $7 for nonresidents, and registration is required.
