Engaging, Empowering Virtual Programs for Girls

Now more than ever, Girls Inc. Indy recognizes the importance of creating lessons that transcend beyond the classroom.

That’s why this school year, girls ages 6-14 can participate in Girls Inc.’s intentional and research-based curriculum online, independently from their school.

For the first time, this program provides a safe digital space for girls to connect with their peers, engage in programming, and receive mentorship and support from trained program mentors. Through curriculum that rotates each session, girls explore positive body image, healthy relationships, economic literacy, self-advocacy, civic responsibility and more.

“Girls Inc. Indy recognizes the urgent need to maintain a sense of community, support, and love for our girls, who, naturally, feel added anxiety and stress this year. ,” said Elyssa Campodonico-Barr, President & Chief Executive Officer of Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis. “We know it is the powerful combination of long-lasting mentoring relationships and proven programming in a safe, pro-girl environment that helps girls to thrive, which is why we are thrilled to deliver engaging virtual learning to girls.”

Girls can attend 4-week sessions each month throughout the school year, where they participate in age-appropriate groups. Mentors facilitate all programming through Zoom, and technical support is provided as needed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each 4-week session is $20, including all materials and supplies.

In order to make these programs available to as many girls as possible, limited income-based scholarships are available.
