Spring is right around the corner, and the Nickel Plate Express is back with its Easter Express. This springtime train ride takes Indianapolis families on a scenic roll through northern Hamilton County, complete with a storytime, sweet treats, and an onboard egg hunt.
Here’s the premise: A farmer has lost some eggs, and he’s pretty sure they ended up somewhere on the train. As you roll through northern Hamilton County, kids get to search for the hidden eggs while a springtime story plays out onboard. It’s part Easter scavenger hunt, part storytime, and part excuse to eat a sweet treat on a moving train. Honestly, that’s a solid morning for any age group.
