Exploration Acres Tulip Days

Exploration Acres near Lafayette turns its farm into a walk-through tulip experience each spring, making it an easy day trip from Indianapolis. For 2026, the farm says this will be its largest display yet, with two field designs: a brand-new hummingbird design and the return of its butterfly design.

Field to Vase Tulip Fest is a one-day spring event centered around u-pick flowers, photo opportunities and a large vendor market. Visitors can walk the fields, shop, and enjoy a more casual festival atmosphere while the tulips are in bloom.
This year’s event includes more than 50,000 u-pick tulips, along with hyacinths and daffodils. Flowers are priced at $2.50 per stem, and visitors should bring their own scissors for cutting. Buckets or containers are welcome, and jars will also be available for purchase on site.
In addition to the flower fields, the festival will feature more than 75 vendors, a petting area with animals, photography-friendly setups and a Polish food truck. Tulip Festival at The Barn at Helm
