Donuts and board games: What more do you need for a good time?
The long-awaited Doughnuts & Dragons is finally here, and it is proving to be a great family-friendly place to visit to enjoy some sweets and play some games with the kiddos.
Located in the Clearwater Crossing shopping center on Indianapolis’ north side, Doughnuts & Dragons offers a wide range of artisanal donuts — think flavors like blueberry-filled lemon basil, cannoli and (as a nod to Harry Potter) Butter Beer — as well as coffee and locally produced kombucha. For the adults, the beverage choices also include more than a dozen different beers on tap, as well as a large wine list.
The donuts alone are enough to stop by for a visit. But you’ll definitely want to stay and play one of the 100+ board games and tabletop games that Doughnuts & Dragons has made available to play while you eat. There are games for all ages and skill levels, and lots of games for kids. You’ll find everything from Quirkle to Operation, Monopoly to Bananagrams, Chutes & Ladders to Pictionary. And, of course, games that skew more toward adults, like Cards Against Humanity and Catan.
As far as seating goes, Doughnuts & Dragons has lots of big tables for you to spread out and play, as well as comfy couches and chairs to relax in. And as an added bonus, each table has a button that alerts the servers, so you don’t have to stop your game if you want another drink or donut.
