Chalk Art Festival Returns to Hamilton Town Center

Hamilton Town Center’s Chalk Art Festival is back by popular demand, and the shopping center invites families and art lovers from around Indiana to join in the fun.

On Saturday, June 10 local artists will begin to line the shopping center’s streets with chalk art masterpieces and compete for prizes in both amateur and professional categories.

The festival opens up to the public at 1 p.m. Judges, as well as the general public, will determine the top three winners in each category. Winners will be announced on Monday, June 12.

Chalk Art Festival attendees will vote on their favorite works of art while visiting the vendor booths along the streets. The festival will also feature live music as well as bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals, Bier Brewery for guests 21 and older, Kona Ice for kids and more.

New this year, the artist registration fee is waived. Artists must provide their own materials; they must be water-based, not oil-based. Hamilton Town Center asks that only the registered artists work on the design, and all registrants over 18 will be placed in the professional category.

Artists and vendors interested in participating in the Chalk Art Festival can call the mall office at 317-214-6956.
