Beware of Wicked Woods

Wicked Woods — a hiker’s worst nightmare, or, maybe just a jarring jaunt through a forest filled with creepy campfires, cabins, creatures and caves?

Put on your hiking boots from October 7th through October 31st, 2017 (closed Mondays) to see if you have what it takes to traverse the haunted trails and find your way out of the Wicked Woods.

The Children’s Museum Guild’s 54th annual Haunted House presented by Old National Bank is the longest, continually-running haunted house in the United States. It offers fifteen “wicked” rooms to explore during two unique experiences.  IPL’s Lights-On Hours are for those who scare easily and AAA’s Frightening Hours are for those who are daring enough to get lost in the dark woods.

“For more than a half-century, the passionate, creative and dedicated women of The Children’s Museum Guild have been central to the museum’s mission of transforming the lives of families and children by donating all Haunted House proceeds to the museum,” said Dr. Jeffrey Patchen, president & CEO, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. “The generous donation from the Guild supports a wide variety of educational programs and free admission days each year, which help make the museum accessible to everyone.”

Haunted House tickets are $8 (all ages) at the Children’s Museum Box Office or online at www.childrensmuseum.org/hauntedhouse.

In addition to traipsing through the Wicked Woods, there are additional events throughout October that little campers and their families will not want to miss.
