Cumberland Weihnachtsmarkt

Add to calendar

Cumberland’s 15th annual Weihnachtsmarkt is a German-style winter market honoring the town’s early German settlers. East Washington Street closes to traffic from Muessing Street to South Heflin Street for artisan vendors selling handcrafted gifts, along with German and holiday foods, drinks and beer.

Kids’ activities include reindeer games, letters to St. Nick and free face painting, held indoors at Scoop’s Early Learning Schoolhouse for a break from the weather. St. Nick visits the Gap Meeting House throughout the market, and a couple of his reindeer appear from 3 to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

The Culver’s Cares Cumberland Holiday Drive collects new toys, nonperishable food and gift cards, with donation boxes at participating businesses and Town Hall. The market is held outdoors in all weather, and well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome.
