The Fishers Arts Council invites families to celebrate Día de Muertos with hands-on crafts and live music at the Fishers Municipal Center. Visitors can bring a 1-inch photo of a loved one to make a mini ofrenda for the community altar, build a tissue-paper marigold, decorate a calavera and share a note on a paper butterfly while El Mariachi Solo performs and artisan vendors sell handmade goods.
Activities are recommended for ages 5 and up, and younger children are welcome with help. Sunday adds Mexican hot chocolate and pan de muerto. ASL interpreters are available both days, and the community altar is on display inside the Municipal Center on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Oct. 31.
