The Indianapolis Suzuki Academy offers violin, cello, harp and piano lessons through the Suzuki Method for children ages 4-18. The Suzuki Method® is a powerful approach to learning music that prioritizes acquiring musical skills as naturally as children learn their first language. Unlike many traditional music lessons, this is an activity for both the child and the parent.
Parents are a vital part of the learning process. Just as parents are their child’s first language teachers, they partner with one of Indianapolis Suzuki Academy’s Suzuki Method-trained teachers to help their child learn music in a natural and supportive way.

Through weekly private, one-on-one lessons and group classes where students can apply their skills alongside their peers, Indianapolis Suzuki Academy provides a nurturing environment for children and their parents to learn together. The academy’s mission is to nurture beautiful character in every child through excellence in music.
More Than Learning an Instrument
Studying music can help children develop skills that extend far beyond playing an instrument, including:
- Self-discipline
- Work ethic
- Teamwork
- Empathy
- Self-expression

Music for the Youngest Learners
Families don’t have to wait until age 4 to begin their Suzuki journey. Children from newborn through age 3 can participate in Suzuki Steps, Indianapolis Suzuki Academy’s early childhood music program.
