Day 1: A Splash of Luxury and a Dash of Adventure

Morning: Check-in at Hilton Embassy Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort

There is no better place to stay with your kids than the Hilton Embassy Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort. It’s a towering marvel overlooking the ocean with spacious suites, multiple pools, a waterpark, and kid-friendly splash areas along with pool-side entertainment for children all day long. You can rent a private cabana, ask one of the lovely servers to bring you a pina colada, and take it easy. If you get hungry, don’t worry about getting dressed, just walk a few feet over to the amazing Black Drum Brewing where you can sit outside and enjoy the ocean/pool view or head in, if you want, for a little AC. Don’t feel like moving at all? Don’t. Ask the server to bring you a meal at your spot by the pool.

Afternoon: Barefoot Landing

Once you’ve settled into your amazing accommodations, it’s time to explore! Barefoot Landing offers the perfect blend of shopping, dining and entertainment. A must-visit is the Crooked Hammock Brewery, where parents can savor craft beer (try the Myrtle Peach!) while the kids revel in the backyard-style fun area, complete with hammocks and games. My boys played the entire time! Ran back to eat their meal in 10 minutes flat, then ran back out to the “backyard” to play. They had fun, and I had fun watching them!

Evening: Dinner at Pirate’s Voyage

Arrgh, mateys! The evening takes an exciting turn at Pirate’s Voyage, the most adventurous, entertaining dinner show that you will ever attend. As soon as you enter the “ship,” the amazing staff makes you feel as if you really are part of the pirate crew. Your family will be assigned as Crimson or Sapphire pirates as the whole ship battles for lost treasure. With daring acrobatics, adorably entertaining live animals, and a four-course feast, it’s a swashbuckling experience that will have your kids talking like a drunken sailor for the rest of their trip.

Day 2: Sea, Sand, and Putt-Putt Glory

Morning: Beachside Breakfast at Sea Captain’s House

Start the day with a delightful breakfast buffet at Sea Captain’s House, an oceanfront restaurant that was originally a vacation home in the 1930s with sweeping views of the Atlantic. It’s a cozy, charming place to begin the day!

Afternoon: Putt-Putt Golf at Mutiny Bay

Next, take any pent up frustration to putt putt at Mutiny Bay, a pirate-themed mini-golf course. Navigate your way through 18 kid (and grandparent)-friendly holes , complete with pirate ships, animated characters, and almost-real tropical landscapes. Watch out for a few fiery surprises! Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Evening: Sunset Dinner at RipTydz followed by Fishing at Pier 14

As the sun dips low, head to RipTydz for a relaxing dinner. Perched near a historic pier, this seafood hotspot offers both scrumptious cuisine and mesmerizing views. (My favorite part about this restaurant was the free valet parking that allowed for us to eat dinner and then spend some time at the pier without running around trying to find parking at this busy location.) After dinner let the kids try their luck at fishing off of Pier 14, where you can rent poles, buy bait, and grab dessert. When we were there someone caught a small shark!

Final Morning: Farewell Stroll and Nap

Before bidding adieu to Myrtle Beach, take a leisurely stroll along the soft sands of the Hilton’s private beach. Collect seashells, build sandcastles, and breathe in that ocean breeze one last time. There are lifeguards all along the beach who are very friendly. My kids became best buds with ours; he even let them pose in his chair for a final picture. Before leaving be sure to stop by the Hilton’s hammock park for a little nap. You’ve earned it!

Wrap Up: A Vacation to Remember

Forty-eight hours might seem like a whirlwind, but this action-packed itinerary ensures that every moment is filled with joy and excitement. From the warm welcome of the Hilton Embassy Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort to the adventurous dining experiences and family-friendly activities, Myrtle Beach offers a perfect blend of relaxation and fun.

Whether you’re a seasoned explorer or a first-time beachgoer, this delightful escape promises something for everyone. So pack those swimsuits, grab your pirate hats, and set sail for a family vacation that’ll have you heading back to Myrtle Beach again and again.
