Yelp’s top Indianapolis drive ins

Let’s drive in to June. As in Yelp Indy returns this month at IndysChild.com with plenty o’ options for which local drive-ins are worth their salt {or root beer, or fries – you get the point}. What do we know for sure? Yelpers rule this town with their where-to-eat and you-have-to-check-out prowess.

There’s a reason Mel’s Drive-In has four and a half stars on Yelp. With delicious burgers and fries at a reasonable price, Yelpers can’t get enough of this “hidden gem.” Yelpers like Jim H. rave about this classic diner and assure other Yelpers to “try it out and you will not be disappointed.” Be sure to try their fried cauliflower – it’s a hit! Bookmark this business.

This drive-in restaurant was recently awarded Visit Indy’s 2016 Top 25 Restaurants. With its fast service and signature foods, Indy’s Historic Steer-In Restaurant is an Indy favorite. Picky eaters in the family? No worries! They have an extensive menu with a variety of food options, including breakfast! But make sure you leave room for dessert! Yelper Mickey R. recommends to “save room for the coconut cream pie, another recipe that has been made on site for decades and has earned its reputation.” Bookmark this business.

Grab some blankets, a portable radio, and drive on over to Tibbs Drive-In Theatre in Indianapolis for an evening of eats and movies at an affordable price! Yelper Courtney S. shares, “you really can’t go wrong spending your evening at Tibbs with its nostalgia, the newest movies, and the right price.” A tidbit about Tibbs: Arrive at least a half hour before the film to avoid long lines! Bookmark this business.

This drive-in restaurant in Greenfield follows the motto “farm-to-curb” because of its passion to provide customers pasture-raised, drug-free, and delicious meats from local farms in the comfort of their car. The Mug’s waiters, better known as “Mug Hops,” serve up five star customer service.
