Week Long Jump Start Clinics at Goldfish Swim School

My kids have been taking lessons at Goldfish Swim School for the past month and a half and the progress they have made has been incredible. One of my daughters has already moved up not one, but two levels. In just a month and a half.

I am excited about this for a lot of reasons, but the biggest is that the pools are about to open (which still seems so crazy) and when they open, we will be ready. Three of my children can swim fairly well and the fourth is on his way to becoming an independent swimmer. This means that maybe, just maybe, this summer will look a little different than summers of the past. I usually am either in the water with the kids, or on the edge of my seat repeatedly doing head counts. I’m not going to lie – the water makes me a little edgy.

This summer, I envision something a little different. The kids swimming while I am reading a book. Or talking to some neighborhood friends. The kids swimming while I am…..get this….relaxing. For those of you with teeny tiny punkins who can’t possibly imagine this whole relaxing business – it will happen. It has been eleven years for me and I felt like the time would never come, but it has.

I am actually looking forward to the pool opening and I attribute this new found excitement largely to the progress I have seen the kids make at Goldfish Swim School.

So, now you may be thinking, “tell me more about this Goldfish Swim School.” Ok, I will.

Goldfish Swim School has three locations – one in Fishers, Carmel, Greenwood. They promote consistent, year-round lessons and recommend that a child stays enrolled until he or she has graduated from the Pro Levels and moved on to the Goldfish Swim Team. The lessons last 30 minutes and end with the instructor explaining to each parent what was learned during that lesson – as well as what your child needs to improve on in order to move up to the next level.

Jump Start Clinics are held over the summertime and other select times during the year. A Jump Start Clinic consists of five consecutive 30-minute lessons that run Monday through Friday. Your child’s lesson will take place at the same time every day, with the same instructor, all week long. This is a great way to quickly boost your child’s swim level while increasing their confidence in the water.

If you are anything like I was and find yourself a little bit edgy around the water, this could be a wonderful solution. Head to Goldfish Swim School where your child can get a Jump Start on swimming this summer – and you can be one step closer to relaxation.
