Visit the WonderLab Museum in Bloomington

The WonderLab Museum of Science, Health and Technology provides engaging science experiences to more than 80,000 people each year, with exhibits and programs that appeal to visitors of all ages. The museum is in the heart of Bloomington’s cultural district, close to dozens of restaurants, shops, and other activities.

WonderLab encourages curious and creative problem solving, inspired by the wonder of science. The museum’s iconic exhibits include the Grapevine Climber, Bubble-Airium, Discovery Garden, and an extensive live animal collection. Back by popular demand are the Bed of Nails, Pulley Chairs, Mechanical Crane and Shadow Room! Below are some special programs and activities happening at WonderLab. NEW!!! Science Sprouts
Thursdays, 10:00-10:30 am

Science Sprouts is a new weekly science enrichment program designed especially for toddlers and their families. For children under 3. Pre-walkers and siblings welcome. Ticketed, but FREE with museum admission.

STEM Sundays
March 26, April 9 & 23, May 7 & 21, 1:30 to 4:30 pm

STEM Sundays are drop-in, challenge-based experiences that encourages families to engage in the engineering and design process together. Children as young as kindergarten can participate. Projects are designed to encourage team-work, hands-on inquiry, problem solving, redesigning, creativity and engagement. FREE with museum admission.

First Friday: Science of Art
Friday, April 7: Glass Casting
Friday, May 5: Nature Art

The Science of Art series takes place from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on First Fridays. Visitors explore the fascinating connections between the arts and sciences. Museum admission is half price after 5:00 pm.

WonderLab Expands Hours of Operation in 2017
As of 2017, WonderLab’s new hours are Tuesday – Thursday: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday: 1 – 5 p.m. For further information, visit wonderlab.org.
