Things to Do This Weekend in Indianapolis with Kids | June 26-28, 2026 All Weekend Marion County Fair | June 26-July 5 | Marion County Fairgrounds, Indianapolis | All day The fair opens this weekend with a midway, a petting zoo, 4-H exhibits and fair food worth the calories. There's a Dino-ROAR interactive dinosaur exhibit, chainsaw carving demos, K9 frisbee dogs and fireworks on opening night. It runs through July 5, so there's no rush, but the first weekend always pulls a crowd. Eiteljorg Indian Market & Festival | June 27-28 | Eiteljorg Museum, Indianapolis | $20 adults, $10 kids 5-17 More than 100 Native artists from across the U.S. and Canada bring jewelry, pottery, beadwork and paintings, with cultural performances and family art-making throughout. New this year, Turtle Island features Seneca Nation dancers and a giant turtle inflatable, plus championship powwow dancing from Indigenous Enterprise. It's part of the long-running Teddy Bear series geared to little listeners and their grownups. No tickets needed. Lakeshore Learning Workshop | Lakeshore Learning Store, Indianapolis | 11 a.m.-3 p.m. | FREE Lakeshore Learning's free walk-in craft event lets kids design a one-of-a-kind rock, paint with jewels and explore the Play & Discover area. No reservations are needed, and you can check in for a chance to win a $100 Lakeshore e-gift card. Drop in anytime between 11 and 3. Hendricks County Rib Fest & BBQ | Hendricks County Fairgrounds, Danville | 10 a.m.-10 p.m. What started as an Avon community event is now one of the county's biggest, with live entertainment, kids' games, hot air balloons, fireworks and a whole lot of ribs.
