They simply flipped the seats, so there's no need to lift the bike off the tracks. We took the opportunity to visit Alexander's on the Square, a charming old-fashioned ice cream parlor that fits perfectly with downtown Noblesville's atmosphere. You'll have about an hour to explore downtown, with its many shops and restaurants. It's a great chance to grab lunch, a treat, or just walk around. Return Journey After our ice cream, we headed back to the bikes, buckled up, and started our return to Hobbs Station. The slight incline required a bit more effort, but with two moms pedaling, it was still manageable. During the return trip, we switched seats to let everyone experience the front-row view. Final Thoughts on Nickel Plate Express Railbikes Arriving back at Hobbs Station, we were ready to sign up for the longer Forest Park Rail Adventure. Our quick trip was a great way to gauge how the kids would handle the railbikes. They were so engaged with the scenery and the unique experience that they could easily manage a longer ride. Forest Park Rail Adventure: A 7-mile ride through the woodlands and farmland of Northern Hamilton County. This longer tour is a good fit for anyone wanting more time on the rails and a deeper look at the scenery. Weekday tickets start at $40 per rider ($140 for a quad bike), and weekend tickets start at $52 per rider ($168 for a quad bike). Duration is about 2 hours. Twilight Rail Ride: An evening ride departing from Hobbs Station for a 7-mile round trip. You'll take in the sights and sounds of dusk, making it a nice option for date night or a relaxed end to the day. Tickets start at $60 per rider, and the experience lasts about 3 hours.
