The Central Indiana Dance Ensemble (CIDE), a pre-professional dance ensemble and resident company of The Center for the Performing Arts, is excited to present its upcoming performance of The Nutcracker. This is CIDE\u2019s first full-length ballet of its 2015-2016 season. Suzann DeLay, CIDE\u2019s Artistic Director says this year\u2019s performance will include multiple guest artists including: \tMarte Osiris Madera - apprentice with Dance Kaleidoscope whom will be performing the Arabian pas de duex with new choreography. \tZhanna Sinitsyna - former soloist with Ballet International & Central Indiana Dance Academy teacher whom will be creating the role of Mrs. Stahlbaum, Clara\u2019s mother. \tJakob Pringle - freelance artist & former Ballet West trainee whom will be the Cavalier. \u201cThe Nutcracker is a holiday classic and this year we are looking forward to incorporating new choreography for the Battle Scene (Act I) and Waltz of the Flowers (Act II),\u201d said DeLay. \u201cWe are also excited to have new costumes for the Flowers, Bon Bons, Candy Canes, & Mother Ginger\u2019s.\u201d Another unique touch CIDE offers with each performance is the Sugar Plum Fairy Dessert Party prior to each Nutcracker matinee performance at 12:30pm where attendees can have story time with Nutcracker characters, partake in craft activities, and have a snack. Performance Dates & Times (Zionsville Center for the Performing Arts): Friday, December 11 at 7:30pm Saturday, December 12 at 2pm and 7:30pm Sunday, December 13 at 2pm Tickets are $25 per adult and $18 per child (up to age 18).
