Families looking for a water park close to Indianapolis have another solid option northwest of the city. Seashore Waterpark in Lebanon has the big summer staples parents usually care about most: a zero-entry kiddie area, lazy river, slides, lily pad water walk and a wave pool.
Located at 130 E. Ulen Drive in Lebanon, Seashore is operated through Lebanon Parks and Recreation and priced more like a local pool than a full-scale theme park. That matters when the kids mainly want to get wet, snack and repeat the same slide 14 times.

What Kids Will Find at Seashore Waterpark
Seashore Waterpark has a mix of features for younger kids, confident swimmers and kids who want something a little more active than standing in a pool. The setup includes a kiddie pool, lazy river, two larger slides, a water walk and a wave pool.
Kiddie Pool
The kiddie area ranges from zero entry to 3 feet deep, which gives younger swimmers a place to ease in without jumping straight into deeper water. The area includes small slides, interactive water toys, geysers and an oversized dumping bucket that spills over the whole feature. Someone is going to stand under it on purpose and claim it was an accident.
Lazy River
The lazy river is 3 feet, 6 inches deep and includes tubes for floating with the current. There is also a whirlpool feature in the center of the river.
Slides
Seashore has two larger slides with different height requirements. The red enclosed run-out slide is for children over 42 inches tall and ends in less than 6 inches of water instead of dropping riders into a pool. The yellow open flume slide has a 48-inch height requirement and drops riders into a 3-foot, 6-inch pool at the end.
Water Walk
The water walk lets kids cross floating lily pads over a 3-foot, 6-inch leisure pool area. Kids hold a rope for balance and cross one at a time.
Wave Pool
The wave pool ranges from zero entry to 5 feet deep. Seashore describes it as one of only four wave pools in Indiana, which makes it a notable feature for a community water park. The zero-entry side gives younger kids and less-confident swimmers a place to start, while the deeper end gives stronger swimmers more room once the waves begin.
A Few Rules Worth Knowing Before You Go
Everyone ages 2 and up must pay admission, even if they are not swimming. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Outside food, drinks and coolers are not allowed, so plan to use the concession stand or eat before or after the visit. Cash and cards are accepted at concessions, but there is a $5 minimum for credit card transactions. Outside lawn and lounge chairs are not allowed either.
Puddle jumpers are allowed, but floaties and water wings are not. Swim diapers are required for children who are not potty-trained and are available at the concession stand.
For the slides, children must meet the posted height requirements: 42 inches for the red slide and 48 inches for the yellow slide. Riders go one at a time, feet first, and adults may not catch children at the bottom.
Admission and Hours

Regular hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Hours can change for weather, so check the official site or the Lebanon Parks Facebook page before driving over.
Weather Closures
Like most outdoor pools, Seashore Waterpark may close or clear the pool deck for weather. Thunder or lightning clears the pool deck for 30 minutes, and that clock restarts with each additional thunder or lightning strike. If delays stack up past 120 minutes total, or if a delay hits after 3 p.m., the park may close for the rest of the day. The park may also close for heavy rain if the bottom of the pool is not visible, if the water temperature drops below 70 degrees or if the air temperature is not forecast to go above 70 degrees.
Seashore does not issue refunds or rainchecks for weather-related closures, so if the forecast looks questionable, check before you load everyone into swimsuits.
