Out and About: Noblesville

There’s few things I enjoy more than a night of friends, laughter and pasta! When my old college roommate Erica recently came into town, I knew I had to share the charm of Noblesville’s restaurants and shops with her. I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off our time together than enjoying a meal at Matteo’s Ristorante Italiano right in the heart of Noblesville’s square.

Named as one of the top 25 restaurants in Indianapolis, Matteo’s has been serving up authentic Italian goodness since 2003. After moving from Italy and working at his brother’s Italian restaurant, Capri in Indianapolis, Matteo DiRosa met his dear wife Emily and decided to embark on his own restaurant adventure. And with that spark of a dream, DiRosa and his wife opened Matteo’s, bringing genuine Italian fare to the heart of Noblesville.

Whether looking to celebrate a large party or simply wanting a relaxing night out, Matteo’s offers a little something for everyone all in the comfort of a delightful setting. Erica and I enjoyed chatting the night away over fried ravioli, mouth watering fettucine tossed in a white wine cream sauce and then topped it all off with a dessert that left us in a minor food coma. We left the restaurant with full hearts and even fuller stomachs after a delicious night out.

Next time you’re ready for a romantic dinner away from the kids or an evening spent catching up with old friends, head on over to Matteo’s. To this day you will find Matteo himself cooking in the kitchen and his dear wife Emily greeting you at the door. This, my friends, is what makes eating local so special. Not only will you find a good meal but you’ll get a glimpse into the heart and soul behind the restaurant itself.
