Known for their “Burritos As Big as Yo’ Face,” Chuy’s is a Tex-Mex restaurant chain based out of Austin, Texas. Mike and I pulled up to the restaurant on a Friday night at 5:30pm and were shocked to already see a line of people waiting out the door. We knew we must have discovered a good thing. Upon entering, we were pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant decked to the nines in a mix of eclectic decor, including an Elvis shrine. It truly is a destination restaurant, fun for all ages!
We didn’t have to wait long for a table but while we did we enjoyed the Nacho Car, a loaded nacho bar known as Chuy’s specialty. Weekdays from 4-7pm, customers can enjoy free nachos and toppings all served out of a car fixture in the restaurant. We loved it! After loading up on nachos, we grabbed a booth in the back and experienced some of the best service around. I indulged in the Chicken Flautas for my meal and was not disappointed. In fact, I could go for some more right now. My husband, Mike loves a full plate of food and gave the Comida Deluxe combination platter two thumbs up.
Everything from the food, the staff, and the atmosphere was great. And my favorite part of our Chuy’s experience? If you bring in a framed picture of your dog to hang in the bar, you get a free appetizer! Who doesn’t love showing off their dog AND getting free food? Count me in.
Next time date night rolls around, pop on over to Chuy’s in the Hamilton Town Center. You’re sure to enjoy a delicious meal in a fun atmosphere. And don’t forget that dog picture!
Thanks for a great night, Chuy’s. We’ll be back soon!
