Must try: Polar Bear Express Train Ride in Fishers

We’ve lived in Indianapolis since 2011, but never taken a ride with the Indiana Transportation Museum… Eeeeek. In fact my son went through a heavy train phase in years 5-6, so I don’t know how we managed to get this far without climbing aboard.
I know ITM owns a fleet of preserved train cars and offer special events throughout the year – after reading up on how they celebrate the holidays, it’s obvious we need to try The Polar Bear Express ride with them this season. It looks like a dynamite addition to our holiday plans.

Here’s what I know about the Polar Bear Express:
  • – Families climb onto a historic, streamlined passenger train that’s decorated for the holidays.
  • – Santa and Mrs. Claus walk through the train cars during the ride through Noblesville to {where else?} the North Pole.
  • – From the comfort of the train, passengers see the hustle and bustle of The North Pole featuring Santa and his helpers prepping for the holidays in their fun and festive home base.
  • – There are stories, hot chocolate, presents and holiday treats for everyone.
  • – Tickets go quickly. Virtually all of my friends from theCityMoms said this, so I know I need to jump on reserving ours like NOW.
{Click, click, type, type} <– that’s me logging on to reserve our seats for this season’s ride. So since you dear readers always have great suggestions, what tips does my fam need to know? Are certain days better to go than others? Do we need to pack anything special in the ole’ mom bag?
