LEGO Store revamps monthly mini build program

On the first Tuesday of every month, The LEGO Store hosts what they call a free ‘mini build.’ Kids ages 6-14 receive a small packet of pre-selected LEGOs to build in-store with employee assistance.

Fans of the popular monthly free LEGO Store mini builds, take note: Your favorite program has changed.
We have loved these free builds in the past – they’re such a fun way to spend a Tuesday evening and feature a new theme each month so my kids never get bored of going back. Plus at the end of each event, we get to take the LEGOs we built home for free! Last week we stopped in to the Castleton Square Mall LEGO Store and overheard employees talking about the new build program that quietly rolled out this summer. Here’s the scoop:
Here’s the official flyer they gave us with everything you need to know:

While The LEGO Store folks mentioned they hope these changes cut down on the congestion each month {and create a better customer experience}, no doubt it also helps them better plan for how much inventory is needed on a monthly basis too.
Online registration opens on the first Tuesday of each month for the following month’s program, so I’m definitely getting my kids signed up now for September.
If the monthly builds don’t work for your schedule, did you know The LEGO Store also offers a FREE LEGO Magazine when you signup for their LEGO Club?  Lots of ways to enjoy some free LEGO love.
