The Sugar Plum Fairy and her friends from the Land of Sweets are excited to welcome Girl Scouts to a magical afternoon of Nutcracker fun!

Earn your Art & Design or Dancer badge by learning basic ballet steps and turning them into a magical candy dance, and creating a one-of-a kind craft. Listen to the story of The Nutcracker and watch MYB’s pre-professional dancers perform excerpts from their upcoming production of this classic holiday ballet! Get a close-up look at the beautiful costumes, take photos with your favorite dancer, and get a special goodie bag to take home.

Open to grades K, 1, 2, 3 (troops and individual scouts welcome)

Tickets are $30 per Girl Scout and $2 per adult. Price includes 1 FREE CHILD ticket voucher for the Girl Scout to attend MYB’s full-length production of The Nutcracker, December 20-22 at Zionsville’s STAR Bank Performing Arts Center.

We can’t slow down time, but we can capture those tiny prints to hold onto for a lifetime! Join us to make a clay impression of your kiddo’s handprint. Once the handprint is dry, a uPaint artist will custom paint your ornament into your choice of a cute reindeer, round ornament with holly or a pretty tree. These two-hour sessions provide a space to explore a variety of tools and activities while also building connections with other families. Visit Celebration Crossing in a sensory-friendly way! Enjoy the magic of the holidays with lower lights and fewer distractions for a more comfortable environment for visitors with sensory processing differences. Take a ride on the Snowfall Express, visit with Santa and explore festive fun around the museum at Celebration Crossing!

Social narratives and sensory bags will be available at the ticket counter, and sensory activities will be located around the museum.

Ballet INitiative’s Nutcracker with a Twist brings Sugar and Spice to a holiday favorite!

Follow the classic story of Clara and her Nutcracker doll, with a twist! At a Christmas party in 1920, Clara receives a nutcracker doll and dreams that she comes to life to take her to the beautiful fantasy world full of sugary delights, the Land of Sweets. Set to both the original Tchaikovsky score and Duke Ellington’s jazzy suite, you’ll enjoy tapping soldiers, whirling snowflakes, and the Sugar Plum Fairy along with Charleston’s, flappers, and of course, jazz!

Join Ballet INitiative December 20th and 21st at 7:30pm and December 22nd at 2pm for a special twist on a holiday favorite. Fun for the whole family!

Skip the late bedtime and celebrate New Year’s Eve at WonderLab! Staying up until midnight isn’t always ideal for young ones, but at WonderLab, they can enjoy all the fun early and with an educational twist. Our early evening party includes learning about science, all things Glitter!, and rocking in the New Year with an early evening dance party and countdown.

This New Year’s Eve, ring in 2025 and ensure that your children have a memorable celebration, get plenty of physical activity, and are ready to head home and rest well before the adult festivities begin.
