Hidden gems are everywhere – sometimes all it takes is a fresh set of eyes to see them!
Here are two Hamilton County spots worth uncovering in May or June:
Tabby Tree Weaver
Tucked away in the northern Hamilton County town of Arcadia, shop owner Linda Adamson spends her days using wooden looms to create scarves, rugs and other custom fabrics – when she’s not busy teaching others her secrets! During the summer, Tabby Tree Weaver offers special mother-child classes on how to weave, spin yarn or dye wool, suitable for kids ages 10 and up. All classes will provide participants with a “souvenir” to take home! Call 317-984-5475 to request a time and date.
Big Hoffa’s Bar-B-Que
Located in Westfield, Big Hoffa’s has “swashbuckling” good food! Bring your little buccaneers to the pirate themed restaurant for some unexpected twists on classic barbeque favorites. Big Hoffa’s is famous for the Hoffanator – an “everything-but-the-kitchen-sink” platter of fries topped with mac and cheese, baked beans, pulled pork, barbeque sauce and ranch dressing. Smaller appetites can look to items like mini sandwiches garnished with a tiny pirate flag from the “Little Hoffa’s” menu.
