Shamrock Express

All aboard! Celebrate all things Irish this St. Patrick’s Day by hitching a ride on the Nickel Plate Shamrock Express, a train experience that will offer St. Patty’s Day-themed excursions for one day only, on March 12, 2022.
Greening Of The Canal
Date/Time: March 16, 5 pm
Location: Downtown Indianapolis at Ohio & West Street
As a kick-off to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Shamrock Run Walk, The Athletic Club Foundation, in partnership with the Hoosier Lottery, will host the 24th Annual Hoosier Lottery Greening of the Canal on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 5:00 pm. The event will occur at Ohio and West Street downtown on the Ohio Street canal basin. Join the Mayor, Governor, Irish Citizen of the year, and the Hoosier Lottery in turning the canal green. This is a media event with live entertainment and food trucks. The event is free and open to the public.
Parade & Tent Party
Date/Time: March 17 | 9 am
Location: Downtown Indianapolis
The Parade comprises Irish-themed floats and helium balloons, school marching bands, pipe and drum bands, Irish dancers, catholic schools, Irish organizations, and local companies and non-profits with St. Patrick’s Day themes. Normally, the festivities start at 9:00 am on Parade morning with the Parade Tent and Block Party on North Street between Meridian and Pennsylvania. The street is blocked by vehicle traffic, and there are food trucks, sponsor activations, and a large heated tent in the American Legion Mall with a beer garden with live entertainment. The event is FREE and open to the public.
St. Patricks Day @ Kurt Vonnegut Museum
Date/Time: March 17 | 10 am – 7 pm
Location: Downtown Indianapolis
Enjoy a lucky day of free admission to the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library for St. Patrick’s Day! We’ll celebrate the day with an Irish music singalong and have festive food and drink available for purchase. Food, drinks, and music will not start until 5 PM.
St. Pawty’s Day at Daniel’s Vineyard

Shamrock Run & Walk

The Athletic Club Foundation and the Indianapolis Firefighters Emerald Society welcome you to participate in the 2022 Shamrock Run & Parade Walk on Saturday, March 19th, at 11:00 am in downtown Indianapolis. St. Patrick’s Day Skate
