Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee, always knocks it out of the park with its seasonal themed experiences. This summer is no exception! Gaylord Opryland DC Summer invites guests to step into a world of DC super heroes and super villains through several DC-themed experiences all throughout the resort. This unique and immersive experience is happening weekends only at Gaylord Opryland Resort through September 1, 2025.

Gaylord Opryland DC Summer

DC Summer at Gaylord Opryland includes super hero fun from check in to check out. Some of the activities are free and open to all guests, and some require the purchase of admission. All of the activities create a super-sized summer experience that’s both entertaining and celebrates DC’s stories and characters.

• a super hero scavenger hunt
• themed character dining
• a super hero pool celebration at SoundWaves, Gaylord Opryland Resort’s water park

Revenge of the Riddler Scavenger Hunt

Get your steps in as you walk all around the Delta area of Gaylord Opryland to solve The Riddler’s tricky puzzles scattered throughout. Solve the mystery to get a prize!  

Battle for Justice Light Show

This water and light show illuminates the night sky inside Gaylord Opryland’s atrium. Lighting effects and music will keep everyone entertained as you watch the clash between DC’s greatest super heroes and super villains take place!

DC Super Hero Craft Zone

Get crafty in the DC Super Hero Craft Zone, where the whole family can work on creating works of art based on favorite super heroes.

DC Super Hero Academy Live Show

Geared toward younger kids but fun for all ages, the DC Super Hero Academy Live Show is like a super hero storytime come to life! Hear tales straight from the comic books, plus jump into the action and flex your super powers with opportunities for audience participation.

DC Movie Night at SoundWaves

There’s nothing like an outdoor movie! Watch DC super heroes on SoundWaves’ giant outdoor LED screen while playing in the wave pool.

Hall of Justice Character Dining + DC Super Secret Menu

At the Justice League’s dining hall, guests can hang out with their favorite super heroes and take selfies with them, too. Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman are typically on hand for this one-of-a-kind dining experience. Then, use a secret code word to access a special menu, which includes super hero-inspired appetizers, desserts and cocktails for the adults.

DC Summer Legends in the Making Package

To really make the most out of your stay, opt for the DC Summer Legends in the Making Package, available on Friday and Saturday nights. This package includes:

• one night room accommodations
• a Revenge of The Riddler Scavenger Hunt booklet
• a $75 resort credit
• a DC Super Hero Supply Pack

Guests can purchase individual tickets for additional DC Summer events, including Hall of Justice Character Dining, Revenge of The Riddler Scavenger Hunt, DC Super Hero Academy Live Show, and DC Super Hero Craft Zone. Activities and daily offerings vary.

More Summer Fun at Gaylord Opryland

Along with the DC Summer attractions, SoundWaves at Gaylord Opryland is in full swing, with the indoor areas open year round, and the outdoor areas open until September 1. Overnight guests can elevate their stay and add on a visit to SoundWaves, the resort’s upscale water attraction.

Visitors to SoundWaves can look forward to:

• splashing around in a giant wave pool while music videos play on the giant screen
• plunging down a vertical drop slide
• racing down a four-lane mat racer
• speeding through an open flume slide

Inside, families can venture though multiple water slides, float down a lazy and rapid river, take a mega raft ride, and learn how to surf on Nashville’s only FlowRider. SoundWaves also features an adult-only pool and lounge, plus a multi-level play structure areas for younger children. SoundWaves is not included in the DC Summer Legends in the Making Package; the only guaranteed way to access SoundWaves is booking a Soundwaves Experience Package.
